Health Information:

• June 6, 2009 -Small suspected abscess noticed under chin.  Determine that due to family history and potential future breeding plans to bring him to a vet to get it drained.
• June 11, 2009 - Vet visit to address abscess under chin.  Vet made about a one inch incision under his chin to remove the abscess.  He then placed four dissolvable stictches across the wound and gave him a single antibiotic injection.  The vet did not feel the need to put him on any further medications as long as there is no further swelling, fever, or infection.  We are keeping him in a hospital cage on clean fleece bedding.  He is also being given Ensure and thin Gatorade to aid in healing.
• June 18, 2009 - The surgery site is healing quickly and cleanly.  We'll move him back to his normal cage once the would in completely closed which should be in the next few days.
